Dr. Kevin Germundsen, OD
Dr. Germundsen graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1988. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University. He is a member of the California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Orange County Optometric Society and the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Germundsen is certified and licensed in the treatment and management of eye infections, inflammations, and screenings for ocular effects from systemic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
In 2013, he received his Board Certification as a Diplomate, American Board of Optometry, a certification based on high standards of knowledge and clinical skills. Also in 2013, he was honored by Goodwill of Orange County in appreciation of being one of their extraordinary people for outstanding contributions and significant impact toward their mission.

Dr. Linda Arboleda, OD
Dr. Arboleda, a Diplomate with the American Board of Optometry, attended the University of California, Irvine and majored in Biological Sciences. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1987 and graduated with Cum Laude distinction.
Dr. Arboleda is a member of the California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, the AOA Contact Lens Section, Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society for academic excellence and Orange County Optometric Association.
She is certified and licensed in the use of therapeutic agents to detect, treat, and manage many conditions such as eye infections, inflammations, dry eyes, allergies, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

Dr. Janay Sekhon, OD
Dr. Janay Sekhon is glaucoma and TPA (therapeutic pharmacological agent) certified. She earned (with distinction) her Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary, Canada and received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2007.
Notable research achievements include several investigations into the effects of excessive levels of serotonin on the morphology of neurons.
Dr. Sekhon's clinical interests include contact lenses and ocular pathology. Dr. Sekhon enjoys the use of the advanced technology available at Beachside Optometry allowing for earlier detection and better management of complications associated with diabetes, macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts.
When she isn't chauffeuring her two boys to their various sports activities, in her spare time,
Dr. Sekhon enjoys spending time with her husband and her two dogs. Her communication skills with children make them feel at ease and inquisitive about their vision. She thoroughly enjoys her profession and the positive impact it has on children.

Dr. Lauren Foley, OD
Dr. Lauren Foley is a 2012 graduate with honors from Illinois College of Optometry at Chicago. We have been blessed to have her join us in taking care of our patients' needs.
She specializes in children's vision and enjoys family eye care for all ages. In addition, she specializes in the diagnosis and management of eye diseases.
Along with Dr. Sekhon, Dr. Kirk and Dr. Kristi Germundsen, Dr. Foley is glaucoma certified and uses advanced technology to diagnose and manage glaucoma.
In her spare time, Dr. Foley enjoys CrossFit training and has the strength to prove it. As a transplant from Chicago, she is also enjoying hiking and camping in many of California's beautiful parks.

Dr. Kristi Germundsen, OD
Dr. Kristi Germundsen has lived in the Huntington Beach area her entire life. She attended Sts. Simon and Jude grade school and Mater Dei high school where she played water polo and was featured as OC Register's scholar athlete of the week. She received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine and her doctorate from Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University.
Her fourth year optometric intenship included Amarillo Veterans' Affairs Health Care System in Texas, Veterans' Affairs Southern Nevada Health Care System, Ketchum Health in Anaheim, CA. and the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan.
Dr. Kristi is excited to join her parents along with Drs. Sekhon, Kirk and Foley in taking care of all our patients' needs. She brings her knowledge of medical management of glaucoma and diabetic eye diseases, co-management of cataracts, lasik and refractive procedures, treatment of eye emergencies and the fitting of specialty contact lenses of hard to fit eyes.
In her spare time, Dr. Kristi loves to travel and being a huge fan of Disney, you may find her at Disneyland park on her days off. We welcome her to our team!
Dr. Michelle Kirk, OD
Dr. Michelle Nguyen Kirk is a glaucoma certified optometrist who is a native to Southern California. She graduated with the highest honors and as valedictorian of her class at Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Kirk has earned several awards including the Art Optical Contact Lens Award and the Herbert McCracken Dixon Memorial Scholarship. She has also earned top recognition for her research in the area of glaucoma while at SCCO. Dr. Kirk has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. She is well versed in the most advanced imaging technologies used in the care of glaucoma and continues to stay on top of the field through her continued education. When not working, Dr. Kirk enjoys crafting, baking, and spending time with her husband and daughters.
